I finished the PhD today and I'm submitting it tomorrow. How does it feel you say? (or you probably don't...but I'll continue) Imagine being constipated for four years and finally squeezing out the great grandmother of all shits. That's how I feel. Ruptured. Spent. But lighter and happier.

Hmm I'm wasn't sure about the ditching of There Will Be Blog for my name but now that I'm top of your blogroll I think that satisfies me. Congrats on phD dude.

G: Got yr note about GLIMPSES. I found my copy (new) in a bookstore about 10 years ago, but the book was 1st published in '93 & I assume by now U'll havta go thru Amazon.com or whatever yr equivalent is over there. Whatever U havta do, it'll B worth it -- I've read the book 3x & it's pretty amazing, + I've yet 2 spot NE music-factual errors.
I also recently ordered a copy of Shiner's SAY GOODBYE, so I trust I'll B reviewing that fairly soon.... Good luck! -- TAD.
