This episode is a croaky late night transmission that takes in The KLFs Chill Out (a genre classic ambient album), an English indie-dance group from the 1990s called Disco Inferno, and an arty farty documentary called Ways of Seeing.
Listening back, I think I sound a bit world weary. I've spent practically all of my current break from work indoors, like a pale human-shaped bag of gelatine passively gripping an Xbox controller, and that might come through in my voice. But HEY don't let that put you off. No, seriously, come back, it's worth a listen...promise.
This is the art documentary I talked about: Ways of Seeing. The ubuweb version (which I watched) was black and white, but youtube has it in colour.

When I wrote my last dissertation all I listened to was The KLF chill out, avoided Disco Inferno (as it brought back bad memories) and watched Ways of Seeing multiple times...
This could compliment it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlZ0NbC-YDo
Oh cool thanks for this recommendation. I love old art documentaries
P.S. crap that a great band are associated with bad memories - how music can really cling to stuff that way.
Well, no, it's more a weird man made me a mixtape with them on it...now every time I think of that man.
weird by association. I hated a bully who loved pearl jam when I was in secondary school and I have never really listened to Pearl Jam because of that. True Story.
Luckily, all of the girls who bullied me in school had crap taste in music...
Hey G: This podcast was Xcellent as always. Disco Inferno sounds nice, KLF sounds interesting, not sure about WAYS OF SEEING, but then I LIKE the critical BS that surrounds art.... + there were sheep.
Sorry it took me so long to get to this, looking forward to the next....
